What do comic book store owners do on Wednesdays when new comics are delayed?

Today is Wednesday and therefore it was supposed to be new comic book day, but because of the holiday(s) last week, we won’t get our books until tomorrow. So, we had a different sort of day at the store today. We spent a lot of time preparing for our big anniversary party this weekend.

It’s going to be a phenomenal event! We have so much planned. We have four different artists confirmed to be in the store throughout the day, some of them earlier, some of them later. The four artists are Tosh Delaney of Stump Comix, Tony Parker, artist of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Ben Glendenning, artist of Skulljammer, and Jay Fotos of Death Dealer.

We will also have our friends, Of the Earth Belly Dance Troupe here around mid to late afternoon, to add some festive entertainment to the day.

Of course we will have cake. And balloons.

And many specials throughout the day, including a great raffle!

Our press release is being finalized, and should be going out tomorrow. I’ll post a copy here once it’s done.

We are all very excited to have made it a year! Yay us!

And tomorrow? Well, tomorrow is NEW COMIC BOOK THURSDAY.  Woo hoo!
